Any info or comms on these two guys would be appreciated

Take care

I note with fond memory, that Martin Knight-Willis left a message on our site a few months ago. Of course,
Martin was a fellow Officer and I am pleased to see his contact with us after all this time.

I wish you well and God speed Martin. Danny Hartman is in your neck of the woods, so maybe the twain shall meet.

I joined C Company RLI A Platoon at Brady Barracks in February 1961,army no 2388.
Major Essex Clark along with Jimmy Smith Belton and a Sergeant(s) Jackett and Loreans, with Ron Reid as the RSM. i did the SAS Selection course in the Matopas in August 1961.
The course was run by John Peters...later of Katanga Fame and Sergeant Bob "Throat" Bouch.
In January 1962 I did my jumps at New Sarum and the Squadron moved to Ndola in February. Around this time a Squadron photograph was taken at New Sarum when the Prime Minister of the Federation of Rhoedesia and Nysaland met the Squadron. Does anyone have a copy of this photograph.
I went on to the School of Infantry and was commissioned into the Northern Rhodesian Regiment before joining the British Army from in 1968 - 1998.
As I recollect over the years, Rob Johnstone, Mike Cahill, Mike Sime , Bob Hollis, Mike Smith and a Scott Donaldson were on the selection course..... and I remember the Squadron Serjeant Major Standish and Major Welch bringing round coffee and rum on Christmas Day at Brady Barracks in 1961.

Happy Days.
