message=Your courage .. stealth , resilience and sheer ingenuity making do with what you had available to you in very trying circumstances. you will live forever! ..I was a primary school lad in Mangula.. thanks to your efforts,along with those of the conventional armed forces of Rhodesia.. made my life a safe and carefree one..I remember the Alouttes sometimes 10/11 of them landing on the sports fields of the mangula recreation club..it was a sight to behold ...it put fear and excitement in our hearts..we would collect the spent cannon shells and black steel belt links from the k cars having competitions to see who could creat ethe longest chain.. thank you for your sacrifice.

message=In 1999/2000 I said 'cheers' to Earl (Jake) Harper-Ronald andpromised to keep in touch, but sadly it never happened as I learnedawhile ago that he had passed away. Jake and I were at Guinea FowlSchool until 1966, then did National Service and he headed overseas tofight the dreaded IRA and finally we met up again in Scouts. Is someone out there able to let me know what happened to jake as Istill feel 'cut-up' about his passing and need to put his memory torest. A great site - well done Steve Hynds

Does anybody recognise these names.....The above apparently joined the RLI? together around 1975, although I am not so sure these dates are correct....
I am Eddies son and would love to hear from anyone who knew him or can steer me in the right direction.I know he passed away many years ago, and regrefully was too young to know him....

message=I would really appreciate hearing from anyone that served with my dad in the Rhodesian SAS. His name is Hennie Blok.
I'm not too sure about the duration of his service but know that he was in C squadron during 1977 (have is original military driver's license).
I have some original photographs that I will gladly share with anyone that can tell me more about the circumstances surrounding these photographs i.e where, when and by who they were taken.

message=In 1960 I left Cape Town to join the Rhodesian armed forces.
I started in Bulawayo with the R.L.I. at Brady Barracks straight away I put my name down to do the S.A.S. selection course,
but it was only after coming back from MiniLunga on the Congo Boarder that I did the course in Matopas,but compleated it after doing exercise All-In in Ndola and the Para course at New Sarum in Salisbury
I too can remember Grany Standish serving the coffee and Major Welch with the brandy

message=I worked with Lionel Yeoman in the North Sea in the 80's, I wonder if any of you guys know where he might be. He was our admin clerk for a while, then he joined the drilling contractor (a canadian firm that got taken over) as a roustabout.
He told me some interesting tales and maybe I ought to buy him a drink.
